Overland Car Ad in “Collier’s” magazine, October 27, 1917.

The Overland Automobile Company was one of the world’s first automobile manufacturers founded in the beginning of the 20th century. Overlands continued to be produced in Toledo, Ohio until 1926, but the name would come back when Daimler Chrysler (Now Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) introduced the Overland name for a trim package on the 2002-present Jeep Grand Cherokee. The badging is a re-creation of the Overland nameplate from the early twentieth century. – Wikipedia
