Titanic Survivor Letter and Envelope, 1912

Alice Prichard, a 33-year-old stewardess working in Titanic's first class, wrote this letter home during the voyage from Cherbourg to Queenstown. She advises "Olive" to "be good at figures as there are lots of jobs [for] lady cashiers here in the restaurant and two lady attendants for the Turkish baths." The envelope, which is from another letter, shows that Prichard survived the Titanic disaster and later worked as a stewardess aboard Oceanic.
