Dinner here & meeting my advisor with a handshake and a kiss on the cheek made my day.
I woke up every single hour last night for maybe a total of 3 hours sleep. Tried to nap this afternoon after class; no luck. I can't tune out the A/C so I'm waiting for the Sleepinal to kick in now.
First day of class was great; heat index of 108 was not. I think it's starting to sink in that I am very far away from my boys. I'd be totally insane now if it weren't for my laptop & free wi-fi (and breakfast) at my hotel for the same price per night as the skanky ho motels back home.
