On the Internet, aiming at nothing

My attempt at a sort of Western “Superflat” where the principles of Takashi Murakami’s Superflat guidelines are adapted to Western art world principles like some kind of ill-advised Hollywood remake of a foreign film… only this time it might actually work out because I took a style, not an idea to work with. This artwork was my attempt to represent the impotent rage of the internet, notably 4chan’s infamous “Internet Hate Machine” in a visual photographic form. A Yotsuba&! toy was used to make this, placed in a bleak, white void of the internet, and as some of you may be aware, Yotsuba is 4chan’s unofficial “404” Girl mascot, hence why she’s used as a stand in for them visually. More “Western Superflat” works are planned, but said details will remain less than revealed until the full concepts for them become doable.
