AEC Routemaster 231CLT RM1231 last survivor of the 1982 Vic Berry 100 12 months after it came out of service
Vic Berry won a contract to cut up 100 serviceable RMs at Aldenham works late in 1982,some very nice Leyland examples were chopped up including RM1635 which had only done 24 months work following overhaul after 7 years robbed at the back of Stockwell garage. However only 96 were actually chopped up and at the September 1983 openday RM1231 survived in the area used by Vic Berry but it was sold for scrap soon after.....
