Note: Continuing to think about the cases before the U.S. Supreme court regarding recognizing gay marriage and I was slack-jawed about the details of this LIFE magazine article from 1966: “The Crime of Being Married.”

....and while drawing this I kept hearing Bill Murray's voice as Venkman from Ghostbusters, dripping with sarcasm ranting about any marriage debate of the past 100 years: "Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria!"....
