Well, I guess I just spoiled the magic. Joke aside, this is the whole sliding mechanism for the different mission modules.
Pretty simple solution: Two technic pins, two corner plates and two vertical clips for the doors hold each module in position.
The only downside is the instability when changing the configuration, as the technic pins need some force to fit in the holes.
