The Tool
The inspiration for this portrait came from Gegory Heisler's photo of chef Daniel Boulud (link below). The context is that my engineering friend rebuilt his house. To capture this part of his personality, I had him choose a tool that he thought was indispensable.
Two Nikon strobes. The primary is a softbox on the model's right and the fill is an umbrella from back left.
