Botany Bay
An hour after I'd landed on the long haul back from LHR, here I am standing (jet-lagged) on the edge of Botany Bay the other side of the planet. It's June 23rd, 2 days after the shortest day of the year and it's a perfect early winter's day in Sydney. In the distance is Kurnell, and a Welcome Swallow obligingly flits past above foraging for insects.
