Scenes from Pompeii
I have recently finished reading "The Wolf Den" by Elodie Harper. The book was recommended by one of the staff in Waterstones bookshop in York. The novel is set in the lupanar or brothel in Pompeii just before the eruption of 79AD. Reading the book reminded me of our visit to Pompeii a number of years ago which led me to do a few sketches based on guidebooks we acquired on our visit. If we get another chance to travel there I am sure I will do one or two more quick sketches.
