Longing For Yesterday

As the bay tide waters rises and lowers she still manages to stay afloat barely, sometimes more but often times less is visible to the eye now.

Her faith & pride are now long gone. But once she sailed proudly with her bow held up high. And she could hold her own and did so for many years working hard until time & people gave up on her. Is this, whats it's like to grow old and useless?

But soon... she'll be with us no more as she slowly slips beneath the waters.......

*************************************

Sitting so close to the ocean she once roamed, being tormented by the sounds and smells of the ocean she used to call "home." A cruel, slow death as she returns to the earth, she weeps to be buried at sea.
