A Good Hope for (bi)cycles

Just think it's funny how this humble bicycle shop has the most flashy glazed roof tiles! =D

"Godthåb" means Good Hope, and it's the danish name for the capital of Greenland.

(It's called Nuuk in the native Greenlandic language)

Trivia alert!

The South-West part of Greenland wasn't populate by "the natives" until around 500 years ago, when the Vikings left the area due to rapid climate changes. The weather became much colder up there, leading to failed crops and loss of communication with the rest of Scandinavia.

Some may have died from hunger and disease or been killed in clashes with Inuits following the progression of the ice sheet. The rest may have migrated South to Iceland, East to Europe or even West to North-America? No one knows for sure what happened to the estimated 5000 inhabitants. They just went away...
