Honeystone obtains their wax from several local Oregon beekeepers as a by-product of the honey harvest. Purchasing bee-produced products helps encourage repopulation of honeybees. 80% of wild and domestic honeybees were wiped out in the colony collapse disorder epidemic from 1972 to 2006.
