Missouri Flyer with streamlined locomotive - 4-8-2 steam engine - front
This (fictional) 4-8-2 Mountain – type locomotive was built in the mid 1920's by Lima Locomotive Works and was shrouded in a streamlined casing. The engine was numbered 4867 and painted in dark blue with a fluted light bluish gray side stripe on the boiler and light bluish gray box stripe on the tender to keep it in line with the passenger cars of the Missouri Flyer, it's permanent assignment.
