0-6-0ST- Light Bluish Gray and Black steam switcher (4493) - front
I consider this engine (numbered 4493) a yard / road switching loco, rushing cars to and fro around the Brick Railway Systems facility in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. It also is capable of hauling "dead" locomotives into the Ewing Street Locomotive shop for repairs, though usually it is found pushing cars over the hump and letting the freight roll through switches to their proper train-in-the-making via gravity at the Union Station yards. The loco is even capable of navigating most of the tight switches and curves of downtown industries of St. Louis, and even though it is mostly a yard loco, it can sometimes be seen hauling freight trains down tight alleyways and street trackage to and from industries such as the breweries and riverfront warehouses.
In the real world, this 0-6-0ST (ST stands for Saddle Tank) steam switcher was originally a model by Scotnick, which had no working pistons and was colored white and red. I borrowed some pistons from one of HunterDobbs' engines, and now have added updated saddle tanks courtesy of Canvas Rails / TF Twitch. (Canvas made the original 0-4-0 design where the tank originated, which TF Twitch recreated, this leading to the adding of it to this 0-6-0ST.)
