GREATER THAN FRIENDS MOVIE
In today’s society we are use to our young people acting out in a world that they do not quite understand with destructive anger in most cases resulting in violence and destruction, but for three bright and talented Towson University students, Nathan Turner, Christopher Walker and Jeff Apple their answer to better understanding a recent tragic situation is to pull together their resources and help others not to make the same mistakes that in life by creating a short film called BETTER THAN FRIENDS the movie touches on very important social issues among young people and shows that life goes on GREATER THAN FRIENDS is the first film by new comers NATHAN TURNER ,CHRISTOPHER WALKER, and JEFF APPLE from TOWSON STATE UNIVERSITY, this project was filmed at the CLOISTERS MUSEUM and other locations in BALTIMORE, WARDROBE SUPERVISION by CARLOUS PALMER . Another point about this project that makes it so special , is that throughout the movie is a peaceful message of support in response to the recent suicide of Tyler Clementi, the Rutgers student whose sexual encounter with another man, authorities say, was broadcast on the web by his roommate. These young students allowed this tribute because of their deep understanding that the world that we live in is for everyone and that separating belief systems is tearing this world apart. As you watch this film , notice the clever use of the color purple to remember Tyler and the many people like him that will die senselessly due to fear and ignorance.. This amazing collaborative effort will be shown at TOWSON STATE UNIVERSITY in December, and is already being slated for a larger public venue later this spring , we are certain that this movie will inspire others and show that in the big scheme of things how creativity can solve problems and has value in our society.
