The Beast of the Black Ruins
During the third age a shadow like creature of massive proportions, made its nest in the ruins of an Abbey that was left bare for centuries. It plagued the local land and attracted more shadow like creatures. Like a monarch assembling an army. A call was put out and a Man answered. He was tasked to go straight to the source and slay The Beast of the Black Ruins.

A generic story but I have had a scene like this bouncing around in my head for some time now and I needed a story :P
