Camp Bug
Today's story and sketch "by me" you see Rafi and Rachael Gofish who are touring Earth on an extended honeymoon, how extended, it has been twelve years two months and four days so far, and it does not look like Rafi has any
plans to return to Lippo (the Blue Moon) and go back to work for Gus Kagler, Rachael's father at the Flip Flop Resort, (largest maximum security prison in
the galaxy), where Gus is supervisor of the resorts restoration and
beautification department (prison painters). Rafi worked forty seven years painting the same walls and bars with the same cloud grey paint over and
over. Weeks before the wedding Rafi told Rachael he was and artist, but felt
he could no longer paint grey still life, and had grown tired of prison art, painting inanimate prison walls and occasionally some bars.
He told Rachael of his plan to stay on Earth live off the grid in their Camp Bug.
to paint the flowers, plants, and rocks of the American south west, trading
and selling his paintings, and how they could travel like gypsies, stealth
camping, living rent free staying in places her father could never find them, like automotive repair shop parking lots, big shopping centers, or on "BLM",
Bureau of Land Management, desert locations with the other thousands of
aliens from around the galaxy living like twenty first century Gypsies.
It has all worked out wonderfully for the couple from
Lippo, Gus gave up looking for them, (they do send him
a beautiful desert painting every Christmas).
Until next time taa ta the Rod Blog.
