On 26th October 2008 this new Line 1 replaced the Line 1 clockwise Ring road Tram, Line 65 to Stefan-Fadinger-Platz and the southern section of Line N to Prater Hauptallee creating a new Stefan-Fadinger-Platz-City-Prater Hauptallee link. Here we see evidence of bunching on the route with two E1 types at the Dr.-Karl-Renner-Ring stop on the Ring Road. 4861 of 1976 with trailer type C4 of 1976 followed by 4850 of 1975 with trailer C4 of 1976 and all are stationed at Gürtel Depot.
