Beach forest National Park Jasmund

Beukenbossen, krijtrotsen en de zee vormen een fascinerend decor. Hier lijkt het alsof het beukenbos in de zee stort. De natuurlijke bosgrens-situatie aan de krijtklif staat op een overweldigende manier symbool voor de voortdurende uitbreiding van de beuk. De beukenbossen van de steile hellingen behoren tot de weinige nooit gebruikte oerbosrelicten van Duitsland.
The Jasmund National Park is home to the beautiful chalk coast of the island of Rügen and the sea-encrusted Jasmund peninsula with its hilly plateau.
