This high-rise, 'furled-sail' office block is one of the very many signature architectural landmarks in the Sandton 'node' of Greater Johannesburg. Sandton is the centre of finance capital in South Africa and, reputedly, the richest square mile on the African continent. Photographing these buildings can be a nightmare, as private corporate security guards will chase photographers away, even from public roads and pavements when they are within their rights to view the magnificent architecture. Indeed, it is often spectacular to behold - but beware: Johannesburg is not Paris or Berlin when it come to the ease of doing city-scapes!
