And here you can see how poor up close it is. There are other ideas on an even lower detail level which should render very fast. Regardless of the method I use, anything med to low LOD will probably be blurred for a depth of field effect. This is dependant if I can get it interacting with the skybox correctly though, so probably not. I don't want to use too complex shaders.
