The building associated with this sign was boarded up, in disrepair and generally a wreck. (kinda like the sign) It has a recent (June) town notice posted on the door saying that the owners have a permit for "partial demolition" of the 2nd floor, and the building cannot be occupied until they obtain a re-occupancy permit, or something. No demolition (partial or otherwise) was in progress, but it sounds like the building will be converted to a new use.
