Fitchburg train station
actually called the MART Intermodal Center. (Montachusett Area Regional Transit.)
This station was built in 2000. There used to be quite a large and impressive station here, built in the 19th century and having a clock tower 5 stories high. That station was demolished in 1962 in order to widen route 2A. (Remember, cars outrank trains.)
