Cape Cod Central locomotive
Cape Cod Central was the name of a railroad from the 19th century which was later progressively absorbed by Old Colony and NY, NH & H. The modern day Cape Cod Central is a tourist service running fancy "dinner trains" and scenic trips through cranberry bogs and so on. This locomotive was on display at the West Barnstable station in honor of National Train Day. They were even letting people inside the cab, but as the average age of participants in this cab-viewing activity was about 4, I refrained in order to keep my dignity intact.
