Guaranty Building/Prudential Building (and the AT&T/Verizon Building) - Buffalo, NY
The building on the left was originally called the Guaranty Building, but has been renamed the Prudential Building. It was designed by Louis Sullivan and was built in 1896. For its time it was a very tall (13 floors) and modern building and it's considered an example of early skyscraper design. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has also been designated a National Historic Landmark. The exterior of the building is made of terra cotta.
The top floor's round windows is a similar feature to the Santa Fe Building in Chicago, another early skyscraper.
I don't remember what the building on the right is. Anyone know?
