high heel nightmare

most of the sidewalks we were on in bogota and other places in colombia had sidewalks of bricks or small slabs of concrete with many cracks in them-----many women wear high heels in the city and i don't know how they manage not to sprain an ankle or fall and break a hip , i would!!!!!!
