The original stones, including the Regent and Sancy diamonds (282 diamonds, 64 colored stones) and the 230 pearls, were replaced with copies after the king's coronation.

Offered to the treasure of saint-denis Abbey in 1729.

Awarded to the Louvre Museum in 1852.
