This group photo relates to BANZARE. It has been erroneously linked to Shackleton and the Endurance - both in a book and a film. Once the Australian Newspaper linked it to the AAE and I told them and they acknowledged their mistake. The trouble is that unless people do thorough research then mistakes can be repeated! By the way on the Mawson's Huts Foundation site this photo (colourized version) is in the Photo Gallery, Historical Images - in that small Gallery there is a mixture of AAE and BANZARE images. At least four of the photos (out of 19) in that Gallery are by Eric Douglas and relate to BANZARE. This is officially a Frank Hurley photo, but unofficially taken remotely by Eric Douglas.
