Susan: Red Hollywood
Explore: This was so beautiful and vivid in color that I just had to keep it that way instead of going black and white with it.
Strobist info: In learning the "Old Hollywood or Film Noir" type of look, I have found that using off camera flash into grids allows you to have focused light with beautiful falloff. Also, this style tends to have specific hot spots and hot hair lights on purpose.
This photo was shot with a Vivitar 285HV at camera left set to 1/16 into DIY grid to constrain the main light and a Lumopro LP120 set to 1/32 into DIY grid behind left to create the hair light. These were triggered with Cybersyncs.
I ask that you take the time to leave comments. I appreciate the feedback.
