Black Tomatoe - In Situ

We were given some black cocktail tomatoes by a neighbour. We decided to harvest the seeds for growing the following season. Disappointed with the flavour and texture so we tend to use them to add colour to a salad.Our main crop of tomatoes are a large red that are from tomatoes given to us by a friend. Here again we save seeds from the fruit each year snd have had several years of a consistant supply of plants grown from these seeds. Apart from the ones we use in salads or sandwiches the bulk go into making passata that we store frozen for use in making pasta dishes over the year.
