1951 Austin A70
I came across this for sale here in the UK on the web , I have known of this truck for a while and it looks like a great restoration although I have never seen it in the flesh. It has had a car interior fitted at some time as originally the pickup only came with a bench seat and plain door trims (no pockets) and with only a ribbed rubber floor mat. Also Austin commercial vehicles of the period had the dashboards and window trims painted with a"wood" effect. very nice and good to see ! here is the story that was attached to it......

The pick up was registered in 1951 in Australia keeped in a dry climate until June 2004 then brought to Ireland after that bought by my self in 2008 in the Uk , When we bought (Pee Wee ) as he is known back we could not believe how lovely he was in condition totally original , it was then decided to bring him up to show condition as he is now , being totally bare metalled striped and painted to the highest of standard by H & R Motors of Darlington everything that needed to be replaced was sourced and replaced in great detail , then it had a mechanical over haul by our local classic mechanic (Stan Ingelby ) renowned in our area for his classic knowledge and his mechanical workmanship , So this pick is the best you will find it has only done 24,000 miles I was told the mileage was correct and it only had 1 previous owner , carpets new ,seats new ,Crome New , tyres New , Pee Wee is something very special and he deserves a loveing home , I will state that you will not find a better one if you could even find one at all !! ! That says it all NOW SOLD
