Tanzania - BAKWATA: The National Muslim Council of Tanzania (BAKWATA) worked with the Jane Goodall Institute to produce a handbook for madrassas on Islamic teachings for environmental management. On September 18, 2012, 26 Christian, Muslim and Hindu faith groups in sub-Saharan Africa launched long-term environmental action plans during ARC's 'Many Heavens, One Earth, Our Continent' celebration in Nairobi, Kenya.
