Alamo MG 3rd Quarter Newsletter Homepage
Web design I created for the Alamo MG Association for the 3rd Quarter Newsletter 2010. It was decided to move these pages to my personal site to save room on the rather small space the club has on it's server. This design is the first one of many to come, set up specifically for the iPhone. It scales down to fit and maintains strong resolution. Instead of rollovers which don't display on the IPhone, I used Image Mapping. Strangely enough the mapping highlights when clicked on or rather it shades. The art was created in Photoshop CS5 - then saved for web devices. The file size is around 350kb at about 75%. It was then set up in Dreamweaver CS5 on it's own web page. Most of the links are directed to PDF files, but some go to Flickr. Club members that have paid their yearly dues are then emailed the address of the newsletter page. It is not posted on the club site until after the next newsletter is published.
Once again the logo design plays into the artwork. Here part of the center shield is used in the top of the gas pump. As a touch of comedy, the main logo has a gas rim added making the entire logo into a gas tank to accept the fuel from the pump.
