I used a mask to add the black dog to the scene. the dog was originally in a shot with a very light background and it was difficult select just the dog and get the edge correct without getting the light background as well. I selected the dog with the magnetic lasso tool and refined the edges with a radius of 1 pixel, contracted the selection -40 and feathered the edges1 pixel.
