A Different View

Most pictures of Roseate Spoonbills show its distinctive long, broad, flat bill. In a side profile, as in this picture, the bill appears to be long and pointed. Rest assured that this bird has the long, spatulate bill characteristic of spoonbills, but it all depends on our point-of-view.
