There were hundreds of redwings at Lake St Clair Metropark, and they were very vocal as they claimed their spaces. They trill loudly and will chase other birds away.
This redwing was the most aggressive I have ever seen, as he increased his size by leaning forward at me, raising his wings to display those fiery epaulets in a fierce manner.
