Light Microscopy - PAS

The glomerulus has an expanded mesangium due to an in crease in cells and matrix (M). There is marked thickening of the glomerular basement membrane (open arrow). Global glomerulosclerosis is noted. Tubular atrophy, interstitial fibrosis and inflammation (INF) are also present.
