Early example piece by Kathy to the right. She is a master of painting with Reusche 1368 water friendly painting medium. She applies it and handles it similarly to oil-medium china paint. It stays open and can be manipulated indefinitely. Similar media is available from the paint companies like Winsor Newton as a 'water soluble oil'. I haven't compared the retail stuff to Reusche 1368 but I will. But its not an oil. Its a cellulose ether w/propanol, in the same family as Klyr Fire and CMC. Viscous but not gooey or stringy.
