It has been recorded from Laysan Island in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands (extirpated), Ni`ihau, Kaua`i, O`ahu (Wai`anae Mountains, Ko`olau Mountains, the central plains between the two mountain ranges, and in certain coastal areas), Moloka`i, Lāna`i, Kaho`olawe (extirpated), Maui (West Maui, East Maui), and Hawai`i (Kohala Mountains to North Kona).
