Mustadafin Foundation was established in 1986 as direct result of political unrest and violence in Crossroads, Cape Town. The violence was due to faction fighting and had a devastating effect on the local community, particularly women and children. A group of people started to provide services such as accommodation, food and clothing provision, medical care and trauma counselling.
Its growth has been oustanding because of the dedication and support from the Muslim community.
From inception, the Mustadafin Foundation has been successfully involved in and around townships and extend their services beyond the borders of the Cape whenever Distaster struck.
