Konica Auto-Up 3: Instructions
Konica was the only '70's compact fixed-lens rangefinder camera maker to offer a close-up lens accessory.
The Auto-Up 3 was produced by the Pleasant Company, and distributed in the US by the Orient Trading Company. The Pleasant Company originally marketed this accessory as the "Pleasant Auto-Up Super Nooky", (one of the great monikers in the history of photo product marketing).
Designed for the Auto S3 and C35FD: the Auto-Up 3 is usable with other compact FLRF's with 49mm filter threads including Minolta Hi-Matic 7SII, Olympus 35RD, Vivitar 35ES, Revue 400SE, and Prinz 35 ER.
The Auto-Up 3 came fitted in a black leather case debossed with Konica logo that closed with a snap closure flap. A crudely printed, two-page, multi-language instruction sheet on tissue stock was included, folded into a tiny square. The marginally readable, multi-language instruction was extensively Photo-shopped to yield this improved English-only variant.
