Wall memorial: "In memory of the Hon Augustus Phipps, fifth son of Constantine, First Lord Mulgrave; Born 15th November 1762; Died 1st May 1826

Also of Maria his wife, daughter of Peter Thelusson esq, who was born 27th February 1771; and died 6th July 1834

Affectionately united in life, their mortal remains lie interred in the same private vault in the Marylebone church, and this monument to their joint memory is erected by their nephew Constantine Henry, first Marquis of Normanby in testimony of his sense of their kindness and worth, and of his affectionate attachment to them both"

 

Augustus was the 5th son of Constantine Phipps and Lepell daughter of John Hervey and Mary Lepell

He m Maria daughter of Pierre Thellusson & Anne Woodford

They had no surviving children,
