Sir Henry Every 3rd bart of Egginton 1655-dsp 1709

"Here lies the body of Sir Henry Every, late of Egginton in this county, baronet, who died ye 1st day of September 1709, to whose memory Ann his beloved wife, the eldest daughter and one of the coheiresses of Sir Francis Russell, late of Strentham, baronet (of a very antient family in ye county of Worcester) erected ys monument"

Henry born 1655 was the son of Son of Sir Henry Every, 2nd Bart and Vere 1707 daughter of Sir Henry Herbert of Egginton & Elizabeth Offley

 

He m1 1686 Mary d1692 daughter of John 3rd Viscount Tracy / Trace of Rathcoole and Elizabeth Isabella daughter of Thomas 1st Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh and Mary Egerton

 

He m2 Anne d1735 daughter of Sir Francis Russell 2nd Baronet of Wytley & Strensham by Anne www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/4w7zha daughter of Sir Rowland Lytton / Litton of Knebworth & Judith daughter of Sir Humphrey Edwards, of London

 

Dying without issue, his heir was his next younger brother Sir John Every, a captain in the Royal Navy who m1 Martha d1715 5th daughter of Maurice Thompson, Lord Haversham m2 Dorothy d1749 daughter of Godfrey Meynell of Bradley, Derbys who dying without issue was succeeded by the next brother Rev Sir Simon Every m Mary daughter of Rev Joshua Clark having 6 sons and 8 daughters.

( the estate was originally sold to the Leigh family of Egginton in the reign of Henry VIII and brought by marriage to Sir Simon Every. It stayed in the Every family until 1882)
