ATSF 3805 Westbound West of Galesburg iL

A bare GP40X leads this empty bare table west on the Chilli Sub. The train is passing thru the Cameron Connection on the west wide of Galesburg.

 

Only 23 GP40Xs were built between 1977-78. 10 were built for the ATSF. This 3,500 horse units were used to test technologies later incorporated into EMD's 50-series locomotives.
