BNSF 1122 Westbound DP on GFRMLVW East of Essex MT
I was highly looking forward to the trip thru the Rocky Mountain on my eastbound trip on the Amtrak Empire Builder. The snow was falling and heavy snow cover made the mountains a winter wonderland. Unfortunately the trains didn't cooperate much as this was the only shootable train between Whitefish and Cut Bank for me on the rear car. A loaded grain train has a H-1 DP on the rear end as they sit outside of Essex waiting tor the westbound parade to head west. Everything else was non-Dp-ed westbounds or lots of mainline miles with no trains.
