My two materials that i chose was Plastic and Driftwood. I wanted to show the decline of natural resources in the world by having the natural form of driftwood suffocated in the plastic. It is showing how the less natural resources we have the more that natural forms will have to be made out of man made material. By heating the plastic it was able to cling to the wood and take its form as well as the properties of the plastic (able to melt and will form bubbles) to reflect the quality of the driftwood (the natural holes that formed from decay and creatures). I exposed one end of the wood to show the inside form of the wood and left the other end natural with plastic wrapped around it. Shows the contrast between man made and natural.
