11-10-14 | SUN-e Picture of the Day: Earlier this semester, Professor Sara Whitestone, M.Ed., of the Department of English at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (part of the CUNY system in New York City) addressed the English 399 Topics course, Creative Writing for Online Genres, taught by Associate Professor of English Michelle Brown, Ph.D. Professor Whitestone addressed the students on techniques for publishing their own writing in blogs and magazines, both online and print. Whitestone is a prolific creative and nonfiction writer and photographer whose work has appeared in Piedmont Virginian, Word Riot, The Portland Review, Literary Traveler, and elsewhere.
