The handlettered sign in the window on a side street caught my eye as I was driving down West Colorado Avenue in Old Colorado City. The owner, who arrived as I was setting up the camera, said the shop was going to feature a large "old-time" handpainted sign soon, and invited me back. I wish now I had asked the owner to stand in the doorway for the 15-second exposure. Next time.
