Bele Bachem is one of the most versatile artists of the 20th century. In the 50s and 60s she was very popular for her graphics, posters for movies and theaters and book illustrations. Bachem has been working for Rosenthal since 1951. At the start of the 50s she created a series of stand-alone figurines, amongst them »Eseltreiber« and »Hirt und Muse«.
